Kang Ultra Lodge can be considered a perfect stopover between South Africa and Namibia if you are travelling on the Trans-Kalahari Highway.
The small village of Kang lies 385km from the Lobatse border post and 385km from the border post at Buitepos. This means it is a perfect halfway stop in Botswana. It is 700km from Windhoek and 720km from Johannesburg. Even if you are travelling to the Okavango Delta, Kang is also a great halfway stop for any South African traveller.
Kang Ultra Lodge is situated along the tar road just outside Kang on the Trans-Kalahari Highway. The parking is secure and the lodge is accessible with any vehicle. Fuel can be found at the Engen Garage next to the hotel. A campsite is currently under construction.
All the rooms are air-conditioned and have DStv. The accommodation is reasonably priced and you can choose between a double room with a double bed, or a twin room with two single bed. The luxury double rooms have a bath and shower and a small fridge. All these rooms have coffee/ tea facilities.
There are also budget block rooms available for those travelling on a smaller budget. These rooms have air-conditioning and two single beds, a toilet, a shower, tea/ coffee facilities and a television.
The swimming pool at Kang Ultra Lodge will provide a refreshing place to cool off after a long dusty day on the road. Meals are available in the fully-licenced restaurant which is open from 08h00 to 21h00 daily and offers an a la carte menu.
For family accommodation the Nkisi Guesthouse can be considered, a sister lodge of the Kang Ultra Lodge. It is situated right across the road from the Kang Ultra Lodge.
