Nkisi Guesthouse - Kangs Family Lodge

Until the early nineties, Kang was a very remote and dusty place along the world’s longest cattle drive route.  The only visitors were the cowboys and a few farmers, and then came the Trans -Kgalagadi Highway that connects Windhoek with Johannesburg. This highway runs passed this isolated town which is about halfway between the two cities. With it came the need for overnight accommodation for the business traveller and holiday maker.

Nkisi Guesthouse belongs to the same family as Kang Ultra Stop.  Our family learned through the experience that we gained at Kang Ultra Stop.  This allows us to improve when we built the more modern Nkisi Guesthouse. 

Nkisi does not replace Kang Ulltra stop but compliments it.   Nkisi Guesthouse therefore caters for a different market. It is particularly suited for families and those in need of more luxury.

Our family rooms sleep up to 5 people. All the rooms are air-conditioned and have a separate toilet and shower as part of the room.  The rooms are neatly decorated and the layouts of the rooms at Nkisi Guesthouse are designed with the family in mind.  You can even have your own braai if you so wish.

Nkisi Guesthouse are very aware of the importance of a good night’s rest after a long day’s drive.  We therefore created a lodge with rooms which will certainly provide you with the luxuries which you deserve.  All rooms are spacious, modern and equipped with DSTV.  We understand that you need to relax and perhaps watch your favourite sport team, news or a good movie on TV.

You however are not restricted to your room for relaxation. Our upstairs bar and restaurant will certainly take care of your thirst and hunger pangs. Nkisi are waiting to welcome you with our very best service.  However if you want to cool off  in the pool after a hot and dusty drive you will be very welcome, or perhaps you would  just like to relax in the gardens and consider the route for the next day. This friendly family hotel is a true oasis on your journey. 

The Mahango national park is 25km south of Divundu along the Kavango River in the Caprivi strip in Namibia.
